With many students graduating in June, this bowling trip to 360 Bowling in Ozone Park was the perfect opportunity for them to have fun and relax with their peers after all the hard work they’ve done throughout their years at JSK. Throughout the hallways and classrooms, students and teachers talked about how they were excited to go bowling against their peers as they loaded onto the bus, laughing and talking about who would get a strike on their first roll and who wouldn’t. They knew this was going to be a day to remember.
As they were on the way to the bowling alley many students decided to place bets on who they thought would win. Others didn’t care to place bets they just wanted to enjoy the bowling experience and eat lots of food.
When students and counselors arrived at Bowling 360 they were greeted with vibrant, neon colors. Some games lit up and straight down the stairs were numerous bowling alleys that had neon lights going down them and TVs that played music to make it enjoyable. All the students and staff were super excited to start bowling.
Each Counselor chose a team and aimed to be the winning team of the day. Laughter filled the air and the students and counselors each took turns bowling. But just because they were on the same team doesn’t mean they went easy on their teammates. Mr.Jeff, Mr.Mann, and Mr.Ramos were all pros at this and the students knew it. Every time they went up they made sure to not hit the gutter each time. Which raised the competition between the staff and students.
There was never a dull moment during the bowling part of this trip the room was never quiet. But 2 hours later the food came out. Wings, fries, cheese, pepperoni, and sausage pizza all came out. With a variety of drinks and sauces. Every student’s eyes quickly shifted to the variety of foods on the tables and when to dig in. As every student sat down to enjoy their food the room became silent. “Mmm”, “this is good”, “this pizza is fire” came from many students indicating how good the food was.
This was a day to remember, students and staff all talked about how much fun it was and who was the best at bowling. Majority of the students agreed that the counselors were the top 3 best. But overall the bowling trip was nothing but positive vibes and great energy all around.
